Message from the Head of Department
It is our great pleasure to commence Master of Philosophy in Public Administration (M.Phil.) Program at Central Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University in Nepal. This program provides platform to the students who aspire to be professionals in the areas of administration and management in public, private and non-governmental organizations. The M.Phil. Program provides deeper insights into public affairs management and governance in both qualitative and quantitative aspects and paves the way for Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the public affairs management. Our main strength lies in public policy, governance and NGOs management as well as human resource management.
To achieve the above objective, the courses are taught through a mix of theoretical classes, practical workshops, case studies, seminars, and field assignments. It is hoped that after pursuing this course students would be able to recognize problems at hand, marshal arguments, make better analysis and produce useful reports based on appropriate knowledge and techniques.
Students working in the public, private and NGO sectors and those with diverse educational backgrounds such as public administration, management, political science, economics, journalism, sociology, and rural development are encouraged to join this program. It will be an enriching and enlightening experience for academically oriented professional and intellectuals to undertake such study.
